I'm almost set to go with the new slightly edited leaflet pushing a popular 2 monthly clean which is my default.due to lees input and success which he shared I too want to give it a try with jogpost was hoping to start in jan but never mind, personally I am hoping for 50 cleans that's 2 per thousand so maybe let's say 75 calls and 50 cleans ? Am I being unrealistic ? Feel free to knock me down if i hope for the best and prepare for the worst I should be okay what's the worst 10 cleans? Would like to from others who dropped this amount on the same day how hectic was it or how was it for you  cos of thr amount I have images of the phone ringing and ringing lol bet it ain't quite like that ! I have done leaflet drops on that scale and higher. I would expect 250 calls spaced out over a fortnight or so. Quite hectic.

I've got 20000 coming from printers today however I will be dropping em over next 5 months all by myself - I'm hoping for 100 new customers from it but will be canvassing as well.

Mines got window cleaning, pressure washing, solar panel cleaning, connies and upvc plus a first for me prices like Mr Pryor.

Not many at all. Let us know. I reckon about 1 per 100, if that. :(

Its silly guessing as surely it all depends on how many cleaners are in the area and what sort of people live there. I canvassed local to me last night and only picked up 3 customers due to everyone had a window cleaner already. If you leaflet areas like that you wouldnt get anything. Surely leafletting main roads and country lanes and stand alone houses would be miles better than the "normal" type of house and area's people go for. Of canvassing is so much better on those type of areas then im sure your leaflet hit rate would be too. Come on think outa the box and do it different.

Mick I think a minimum strike rate exists in leafleting

If u only got window cleaning on leaflet then time V result very low - I've been dropping my old leaflets whilst new multi offer ones were getting sorted and so far not many calls.

I have no idea how much leaflets cost. But I don't get why you wouldn't spend the money on google Adwords. It has a massive ROI.

I'm just editing the leaflet a bit hoping the 2 monthly clean catches customers eyes as alot work monthly and I'm very happy to take on a Serious 2 monthly

so the customer saves money, its gona say "try us out and call today!" Some of you will think wtf "try" surely that's inviting one offs but thing is I am going to look at this as purely financial and try is a very soft sale also I will be charging 1.5 or 2.0 for first cleans so will filter out/cover for one offs, u lot think its ok ? Or just keep it simple ? My idea was to maximise lead flow by putting that 2 monthly try us stuff, hoping that a few people who are sick of monthlys ring as when I canvassed I get a few who have someone too regular and are happy to switch ,

If we drop 25,000 leaflets, we'll get about 60-70 customers.  Customers, not calls.

How many calls?

Our hit rate is around 1% calls.
90+% get quotes
We clean around 66% of work quoted for.

Google advertising. Google anything you like. The top 3 ads and the ones down the right side of the page are Adwords. The owner of the ad will pay per click. Yellow pages used to rule the world, that's why we all used to advertise with them. Now, google rules the world, so it pays to advertise with them. :)
