Todays Royal Mail Nested leaflets, just in case you weren't already aware of their practices.  Not as bad this time, only two leaflets this time.

Yes, I know, I should have better things to do but when they keep emailing me asking to try them again what else can i do to convince them they have a problem.

We had 4 in our Royal Mail batch today (2 Supermarket, the Insurance one and a Sky one)
Delivered just a tad late for this fortnights emptying of the recycling box  :(
If there isn't enough time to do the job right,  how do we find the time to go back and do it again when the customer is not happy ?   Do it right the 1st Time.

I do now Paul.  Last year we slowly weaned ourselves off the Royal Mail and use just local small teams in the local areas.  It was a lot of work to set up but now it's done we're saving loads and the response is far better.

send your video to "the original factory shop" and when you get your next nest, do the same to all that have been nested. Alan simmons, your mission, if you choose to except it  ;D, is to single handedly bring down the royal mail leaflet delivery department by making these videos and sending them to those being ripped off by the royal mail.

(insert mission impossible music)

this message will self destruct in.......... well it won't be you get the gist. ;D

I have done Derek.  I've sent them 3 now.  They do 40 MILLION a year with them, so they might sit up and think, but that's all I supest just sit up and think, bugger all will change.  The guy at the Original Factory Outlet, Colin, was furious.

Allan I had the same insurance booklet come through the other day, inside a CO-OP leaflet, which was inside an Aldi leaflet which was inside a Tesco leaflet.

Hi Ian, that's a very interesting question.  They say it's not approved practice, but don't say they won't.  My ex account manager said that it only happens in isolated incidents, HA HA!

The question is are your new deliverers nesting also? If they are but are charging you less that's ok ish also the money return like for like has to be the same meaning that if a leaflet is delivered by the post man does it get more viewing as its come with the bills in brown envelopes or do people still read it when it's come through the door from a separate deliverer?

Only time will tell.

If they are then it will be ours that is the biggest so ours will be on the outside  ;D  Joking aside, we are monitoring it as best as we can, we have clients in the areas who cal us when it comes through and i credit their account with £10.  They tell us how it's come through.

Royal Mail used to be the best return HANDS DOWN over every other leaflet distribution method, and probably for the reason you suggest, it came with the bills etc.  That was even at £62 a 1000 when we could get others for £25.   BUT i think they have killed the goose in terms of frequency and number the Royal mail deliver, it's now USUALLY 5 leaflets in total, so logistically without a lot of change in their working practice they can only cope by nesting them, they don't have any way to carry them and collate them separately at each house.

Our new teams do just ours and one other, occasionally two others   we have clients primed in the areas to call when the leaflet comes and the reward is £10 credit to their account even if they don't have a job done.  They just have to tell us they have arrived and how they are folded.  It's been a lot of work setting it up but well worth it, our distribution cost has dropped by £25-£30 / 1000 and the response has, in some areas, almost trebled!

We're also getting fewer calls where people are saying "I was waiting for your leaflet, we haven't had one for ages." but are getting calls saying "I've been waiting ages for one of your leaflets again and it's just come through."
