I dont do it on George. I simply give my income to my accountant and he tells me what each of us have earnt. It worked our better last time even though Mrs S had to pay tax.

nothing naughty about payng your wife to the max of her allowance, good business sense. If she's a partner she'll have to do a separate tax return so unless you pay tax at higher rate better to employ her plus you can sack her if she gets on your teets
