Im paying Creare £336 per month to do my seo.

Joe, if you do not mind me asking, could you tell us what they are providing for that apart from article marketing? I presume they are producing and syndicating them but what else are they doing?

Link building.

Thats it I think. Hence why I plan on leaving them.

Also I'm assuming you have sorted out your Google Places or whatever they are calling it now, local directories, reviews etc?

It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

Joe, I can see very little evidence of linkbuilding (which is dodgy now anyway) unless they mean Facebook likes.

Also, do you think this headline

"Chemicals. Chemicals. Lots of chemicals!"

 is a good idea?

Could it not be putting people off as soon as they hit the site?

Maybe it is putting people off. Ill look into that and maybe change it.

My links are scattered around the place. My friend bumped into an advert of mine the other day on some home improvement website that id never
heard of. ive bumped into adverts of my site. they all seem hand submitted and quite high quality with my logo etc. Only thing is google linkback checker dosnt
Seem to be picking up any of them.

They stick to very white hat strategies I think, so I am in no danger there. From what I've been reading link backs are still very good seojuice, but only from good quality non-spammy sites.

I know nothing about seo but your site is not personal enough. Its too generic. No pics no testimonials etc.

I would rethink the design and content before seo.

Well said Mark.

Design and content are the new SEO.

Visitor engagement is a vital factor now.

I think you may find the advert your friend saw on another site was part of your google adwords advertising and not what the seo company have done.

There is an option on adwords where your advert can only show on google or if it can be shown on their partner sites. My limited understanding is that the other sites then have space where adverts will show and its up to google which advert is most relevant or which to display.
