Been doing a few 1 st cleans this week ... jobs picked up from leafletting at weekend.

done a 1st clean today and the frames hadnt been done in I rekon 5 years and same for bathroom window

and this was a bungerlow done trad by previous windie ........ which I will do trad as like to keep my hand in


done another 1st clean today (£12 monthly)  and lady tells me next door needs windie so gives her a knock

oh yes our last one just stopped coming so tells her £12 monthly same as next door ...

"the last one charged me a tenner ..... im not prepared to pay more than a tenner"

tells her we do frames / sills / glass etc etc every visit and explained we were wfp

"yes so was the last one ... he did the frames as well for a tenner"

so points out her minging frames which have never seen a damp rag let alone pure water

she then starts talking about  every other month for a tenner so decided to leave it as dont want her to rub off on a great new customer.

Why do all messers sound the same got that line
from a messer who agreed to my price of £12 but when it came to
payment said I quoted £10.
Took the £10 and dumped.
The same person wasnt short of a few pound.

Really? Window cleaners usually always stop coming. It's the number 1 complaint. They do it once, then never again, for some reason or the other.

same here, if the job is a good one ie, nice people, good payers, reasonable access, no dog doodoos, no 'not this times' then it does make you wonder why 'the last bloke just stopped coming'

In 30 years of this job, i find its usually the customer who hacks them off one way or another, either that or the windie has seriously underpriced the jobs, got scared about hiking them up, and they've moved on to better things. IMO

Ive learned this myself just recently .
Puck up a 3 bed semi with con charging them £15 ive cleaned them twice in around 9 months
Always on bloody holiday
Stacks of plant pots and stupid damn ornaments all around the back garden so pipe gets snagged everywhere .

Funnily enough when I took them on they also said the last one just stopoed coming .

Oh and another on the same street
Dog dank all in the back yard and the hubby is a pleb always says not this month mate . They too said oh the last one just stopped coming .

We always give a written quote - can't argue with that
