That's a good effort that is,

What made him decide to stop?

If thinking of using champix then be careful
I looked into it a while ago and was put of by the reports of suicidal thoughts and behaviour in people whilst using it
Thanks,

I packed the cigs up jan 2012 (after 20 odd years)
first month, willpower (I haven't got any
got an e-cig which helped massively because you still get that "throat hit", I use the small ones, bit of messing about with them so I would say get one of those bigger ones where you juice them your self.
It aint easy stopping but I feel loads better!
Put on about 8 pound in weight though haha, nearly lost that now though, good luck.

There are scare stories posted all over the web. It is true that they can make you feel quite low but the nicotine withdrawal could also be the cause of that. They really are a wonder drug though IMO.

Glad they worked for you
But having read what I did thought it only right to pass it on just in case
Thanks,

I stopped over 2 years ago after smoking about 40 to 50 a day for 30 years!! I read Allen Carr's book in 2 days and stopped with no patches etc. The book made it easy. My wife and I both stopped on the same day and have worked out we save about 5K a year at least!!!

Swapping one addiction with another is not the best way to go. If you read that book, you'll see how P*ss easy it is. If a smoker like me or my wife can do it, anyone can  ;) 98% of people that read the book quit and stay non smokers. Saves spending money on patches and all the other stuff they flog you.
No still don't understand, I must be thick
