How many window cleaners do you think is in the uk?

How about in your town or city?

Well Just on yell.com in our town there's over 66 last year, there are more new vans still poping up!

I don't have a clue.  

I'm not sure there could be any accurate answer.

All I can say is for this area (Brighton) there are more than there were but there again, there seems to be more starting out with their shiny new vans and maybe getting work or not, and then disappearing.

people come and go . i personally know of about ten who i share a chat with from time to time and about the same number  who never smile or wave

on my old estate 4 live there & at least 4 others work on there including me, i can think of another 12 that i know in town but there are more that i've seen about , 1 comes up from burnley ? towns got a popultion of 27 thou, seems like an elephants grave yard for windies

One road in our area is qtr of a mile long full of big semis and detached and has 15 cleaners fighting for the work.

Last year two of them came to blows when someone moved out and the new owners asked their old windie to do em..

Not really....half the people on here are carpet cleaners and not every window cleaner in the country comes on here.

I'm not saying CIU has 25,000 members therefore there are 25,000 window cleaners. I am just saying that the fact there are 25,000 members is a good indicator of the scale of our industry.

Personally I am not bothered how many other window cleaners or window cleaning companies work in or around my town.
If you do a great job you will never be short of work.

There are a lot of crap windies about i do pick up a few new jobs now and then from them .

Around me there are stacks of windies i have lost count how many there are .
