arrived at my second job today and nextdoor neighbour came out and asked me about fascia clean(4 bedroom detached).she said she already has a window cleaner(a guy i know).the frames and sills were filthy!

so i said do you want me to do a proper job of the windows?

the other guy charged £11(well underpriced IMO)AND CAME EVERY 3 WEEKS!!

so i said ill clean glass,frames,sills,doors every 2 months for £20.she snapped my hand off!!

i also picked up the fascia/soffit/outside gutter clean for £120!!

so i took my time and clean the windows and frames properly and ive booked the fascia clean in for next time.so £140 next time for fascias and windows.2 and a half hours tops i reckon for both fascias and windows!

i also picked up a £40 soffit clean on a small 3 bed semi on a regular custies house today as well.booked in for next month!!

im loving this job at the moment!

why is there still loads of crap window cleaners about?ill just wave and say hello to the other windy when i see him and say NOTHING!!

I think it takes the p that some cleaners don't touch the frames and cills , I have picked up work off polers not doing the frames too

I agree with you there. Done some canvassing today and some said they had a cleaner, but the frames and sills were minging     and they said they were happy with them

I think to most customers there is a trust and then loyalty to there current guy, sometimes happy to keep him on even with a poor job

I did wonder if it was just me who picks up work by window cleaners doing a bad job.

Last year a customer moved house to a cul de sac. Within 4 months I ended up with 6 other jobs along the same road all done by another window cleaner who did a seriously bad job.

This year so far I picked up another 5 in various places but obviously, always near where I'm doing a job already. Each time it was down to the quality of work being done by the existing window cleaner.

Yesterday I picked up 3 x townhouses all next to each other.

The previous windy, and I quote, "is incredibly dosile, misses windows out and has only been 3 times since last April".

He was charging £9 per house using wfp.

We are charging £15 per house using wfp.

The rest of the street will also be ours before the end of summer.  

(I was obviously joking when I said Dazmond was an undercutter)
