I clean at different cleaning intervals depending on the property.  For smaller stuff I'm monthly; in places like two estate areas we do.  For bigger stuff, like large houses in the sticks, I'll charge a good price but have a lesser cleaning frequency, such as every-other-month (at a push I'll go 3 monthly, but the price has to be right).

I've a large percentage of my work, about 40% at every-other-month and they're my favourite customers.  They pay well and I'm not there so often it feels like I was just there last week.

It takes a long time to get enough of this kind of work, but it's well worth the effort.

I plan to target more of it; I'm just printing off flyers today and I plan to take them running with me, and I'm going to go running about all the country lanes posting them through the letter boxes of the bigger houses.  I run past these properties anyway, so I may as well tie running and leafleting together.

Wor Lass has agreed to help too, and she's a really good runner, so she can do the ones with the big long drives.

i agree with what tosh says.

When you first start you dont like the 8 weekers but when your round is nice and full you realise in fact these are great customers, i cant remeber ever losing one either apart from when they move

I guess you reach an age where those rest days come in handy. I am in the first flush of youth and can work for years without a break.
