whats the best brush for first cleans.
i have a super lite mixed medium on my SLX at the moment, but doesn't have the bristles for a good first clean.

should i get a Gardiners Sill brush, or something else. thanks

Superlight flocked.

Definitely I have been using my old vikan flocked and apart from the fact it's a beast compared to my old gardiners sill brush it just feels so much nicer on the glass and cleans far better. I am hoping the gardiners superlight flocked I have just ordered is very similar but a lot lighter!!!

I use gardiners standard flocked for everyday use including first cleans, for me it's the best all round brush not too hard on the leaded windows either!

Standard.....also got a medium mixed super lite......my sill brush has had it as its lost so many bristles from one side....I am hoping I can get the sills fine with the supelite

unfortunately I would have to agree, I no longer have one as they were just too heavy, gardiners are so much lighter but it is a compromise as they just dont do it so well on really dirty first cleans.

Yes I stuck the knackerred sill brush back on...the vikan felt nice on the ground floor but far too heavy for the upstairs........

  I am using an Unger Hi-Flo Cill brush now, it is heavier than a gardiners brush, but very similar in size to a Vikan but with a weight advantage, I really like it.
  I have been going about 5 weeks with it and it is not showing any sign of wear yet, whereas a gardiners cill brush would be half dead by now.

Something with a decent set of bristles on.

Far too much is made about brushes. Theyre brushes to brush off dirt thats stuck on a piece of glass. Its aint rocket science.

i liked my cheap bayersan brush.

but my extreme ultra lite the bristles splay too much for heavy scrubbing.
i may just get the gardiners 0 splay flocked brush.
