Abusive customers
« on: February 24, 2013, 05:46:01 pm »
A customer of mine has owed me money for x4 cleans since the start of january,
after ignoring all calls and messages, today i finally get hold of him and starts to threaten me,
what would be the best way to get my money? i could easily go round his house and rip him apart
but thats not the right thing to be doing.

Go round to see him face to face and very calmly ask him why he feels he doesn't have to pay
Whatever excuse he comes out with, say ( very politely ) I'm very sorry about that, I hope you have better luck with you're next cleaner. I'll just put back the dirt I cleaned off and I won't bother you again
Then get pole out of van dunk the brush in a bucket of water then some mud and start smearing it on windows
You'll be surprised how far a bit of mud on a wet brush will go
He will either stop you and pay you ( result ) or let you do it ( result , cus you'll feel better ) or try beating you up but you already said you weren't worried about that, so it's win win
Thanks,

Write it off and forget about it...

Concentrate on your other customers and general wellbeing.  It's not worth the strees, it could eat away at you until you flip and do something that you regret.

If you look at as you've only lost some of your time, it could've been worse if you'd supplied goods and not been paid.

Don't let it go four cleans in future. Treat it as a learning experience.

I'll admit my advice was extreme but it's not just time
Vans, diesel, poles , filtration, chasing debt all add up to something
Thanks,

I had a women screaming down the phone at me she was going to
blow up my van burn down my house bla bla bla ::)roll

Reason was the boys hadn't put a slip through her door( They swore blind they did)
it was a first clean and filfy they told me luckily van and house still in one
piece.

My opinion is I would'nt waste my time chasing custy for money just stress you out.

He didn't though. He owed 4 cleans. I could see how you could go to two. But four?

That's the way I look at it. I've been stiffed a few times, and would rather just walk away and take them off my run. I always feel so much better for it when I have because I know they will have as much chance of getting another windy as I will have of getting my money.

That'd be if they didn't stump up for six cleans, not four. You've got to have boundaries.

One day, you'll have to stand your ground over these things.
