Repairing worn pole section on SLX
« on: February 24, 2013, 04:43:45 pm »
Can anyone tell me the best spray to use to pack out the end of the section which is worn? I take it the best way to do it would be by masking the area affected? Not had to do this before so any advice would be much appreciated ;)

For guidance on how to restore the surface of a pole section and what to use please view this video guide - http://youtu.be/ArdGzztbvJ4

I've been doing the same thing for a while now. It really works well particularly on the xtreme.

The worn top sections on my slx were doing my head in, kept spinning round. I watched the video that Alex posted and just done the epoxy resin fix this weekend. Works a treat. Well worth doing.

My Extreme is quite new so hopefully will be a wee while before it needs repairing, the SLX has been spinning for a month now and needs doing just now tho

My xtremes were on the first batch so about 20 months old now and still going strong. I cant see them needing replacing for a long time especially with the epoxy fix.  I think yours will last a while.
