« on: February 08, 2013, 03:56:47 pm »
I was changing mine about every 3 to 5 months. I have a 11 litre container. Its been 3 months exactly today but its still showing as 00. So how often does everyone change it?

I guess it depends on how much water you use and the tds of water.

As usage rates and working hours vary considerably difficult to compare with other people.

Once in almost 5 years.
R.O. takes the tds down to 5ppm so not much work for resin.

i fyou want to save on resin and get your ro producing water nice and low like the guy above i recommend buying a booster pump from pure freedom, they really do increase the quality of the water coming out of the ro system and make water production at least twice as fast

the merlin is fast but the water purity is gash, i use 650 liters a day, i use a 450gpd purefreedom and then a small resin bottle afterwards i put it on about 4 o clock (ish) and turn it off at 6 in the morning and my ibc is nearly full, im not using a booster pump at the mo, but defo get one (i broke mine

An ro  or Merlin wastes far to much water I have a low tds thats why I use a 11 ltr Di , cant justify, wasting so much water and if I have forgot to fill static tank I can produce pure water fast if needed . Mike

I have two ibc tanks one from each gutter with a transfer pump. I may buy an ro and just use one ibc for rainwater.
