Oh dear.

Ill be cleaning over 5000 panels for Steve.

With travelling included we will get this done in two days. It will be one of my best paying jobs, otherwise I wouldn't do it.

It is very easy to criticise and call into question peoples motive when you don't know them or their methods. I am always careful what I put into print because you can never guarantee how its going to be read or understood.

I know Steve from talking to him on the phone over the past few weeks at length, and anyone that has been critical it makes them look rather foolish and unprofessional.

It's great that you have been speaking at length with Steve about this, I'm happy for you!

However as an outsider looking in, alls I see is an account that became active within the last 2 months supposedly offering lots of work to others when he has a business set up to do that exact type of work.

3 or 4 of these jobs have now been 'awarded' to members who have replied to his requests for quotes, each of these members have asked to remain anonymous. The only feedback we have had from any members (yourself excluded) has been that all quotes have been way too expensive.

If Steve is using the forum to give genuinely large amounts of work to other members then that is great and all concerned are winners. However in return is asking for a bit of clarity unreasonable?

Is that request making me look "foolish and unprofessional" Alex?

Hi dean thanks for your post. Can you send your details via email through our spc website please? :) Might be an idea to delete the above post as spam bots love trawling these sites for email addresses!  >:(

Good for you, so your telling me he went with you due to the fact you have loads of experiance and your the most expensive?

why is questioning someone on how they give out work looking foolish and unprofessional?

Genuine questions posted to a new poster that is apperently helping everyone out by giving contracts out like candy. Providing you dont ask the questions on the thread or reply with the contract you have won or where it is or how much it is or how long it will take, the mind boggles with people on here sometimes, why not just be open and honest for crying out loud, surely this has turned into an undercutters dream but all behind everyones back.

Im off to be unprofessional somewhere else :P

A few threads of how these projects pan out wouldn't be a bad idea hey. You know photos, time of day started/finished, number of operatives involved, that kind of thing; when you do the work. That would help clarify things wouldn't it?

The blog on my spc site, does and will be doing exactly that Matt. My twitter feed @spcleaners does updates of our jobs too. Not irrelevant stuff, just business. :)

Shame that, none of the pictures seem to work on the Blog. It looks therefore just like a list of jobs done, no clearer to be honest mate.

It seems the photos were too large. Have resized a couple now. Will sort others tomorrow hopefully, if I get time.  Thanks for pointing it out! :)
