OK I'm not happy with my IT
« on: February 06, 2013, 07:24:37 pm »
Hi all, as per the subject...am really fed up now with my IT guy.
I pay him £96 a month (i know, not a fortune), and don't get any info as to what he's doing for my ££.
He says the only report he could send me is a screen shot of my site analytics, which I can get without him sending me anything. I just want to know what he's doing ie. monthly submissions to search engines, link building etc. and he wouldn't let me know that.

Am i right to be unhappy or is it "you get what you pay for" thing.

There hasn't been any results of his activities so far either.

What's your experience with your IT people if you have any?

Cheers

Emil

Sounds like you are being taken for a ride. Secure your asset before you pull the plug. Lots of seo guys out there who clinging on to creating valueless link building processes but happy to take your money.
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

Thank you all for you input. So exactly what I thought :-\
Billy, thanks for sharing your IT's details i shall give him a ring on Monday.
Robert, unfortunately i haven't got control over domain and hosting, he's got it.
I will speak with him again and if an unsatisfactory response is given I'll make him £96 a month poorer  ;D

Emil, my "IT" guy deals purely with hardware.

I would not let him anywhere near the web marketing side
