Angina pains kicked in!!
« on: February 14, 2006, 08:37:57 pm »
I set off this morning all loaded up, ready to do second day on a two day job I've been doing.  5 minutes down the road I'm thinking have I got everything I need?  As you do....  I suddenly thought, "Hang on?  I don't remember putting my 18 ft pole in the van, which I need today."  So I turned round went back to pick up my pole from my garage...NOT THERE!  Then my memory kicks in.  I didn't put it back in the van yesterday when I finished.  Oh no, I left it fully extended up against a wall facing the street in the middle of a housing association estate.
I got to the site.  Would you believe it, my £120 pole exactly where I'd left it last night!!!
Phew!  Hope I don't do that again. ...Probably will though. :P

I was truly amazed to see it exactly where I left it.
You could have reached from the pavement over the 3 foot six fence, across about 2 feet and taken it away!
I can hardly believe it.  If anyone knew what it was they would've had it.  Even if nobody knew what it was, they'll nick anything around there!!  I had genuinely already accepted the loss when I got there.
What a day!
