I have a Prochem Cheyenne the hose is to small for the machine end ! Is there a larger connector to the machine if so where would I get one ? also to join two hoses together would you use a metal connector or plastic ? thanks in advance .
just booked for the Cleansmart Carpet cleaning course on thursday.

You need an expander cuff, most carpet cleaning websites do them. To join to hoses together you need a plastic join. What size is your hose? I'm guessing it's 1.5 inch and you need it to be 2 inch to fit your machine. I could be wrong though, i've never owned a prochem. Check the link

My hoses are 1 1/2" but the machine fitting is bigger it has a barb fitting like the tail on the pump fittings but bigger.
I was not sure if the 2" would fit on as it would be a screw fitting . hence the question
looks like the 2 " is the only thing I can find until someone tells me different.

Your 1.5" cuff might fit INSIDE the 2" machine fitting.

Glynn is right, or at least you can with my machine. The 2 inch fits over the inlet pipe and 1.5 inch inside, quite handy really.

Above posts are correct..............
I used a two inch cuff at the vacuum inlet with a short piece of 2" hose joining a second 2" cuff. A suitable 1 1/2 " cuff with the shoulders rounded will fit inside the 2" inch cuff.
