Does anyone use Polythene tubing to deliver rugs. If so what size are you using.

No its a roll of tubing which you cut to size depending on size of rug.

John

I just wrap the rugs in polythene and then tape them up (to make a tube).

I also place a PRINTED (not handwritten) full name / address label inside, showing through. It looks quite neat that way, a lot better than delivering a steadily unraveling rug to peoples' homes.

Sorry John, yes I think I mean the same thing as you. I'll go and check mine in a second, I think it's about 12 inches flat.

Just because I'm a geek - remember Pi! The circumference is 3.14159 x Diameter.

Call me Penfold.

Edit: just checked, mine is also 20 inches. My polythene tube is also quite large.

12" & 20", small one is thinner guage, larger is heavier.

Considering going over to brown paper though, anyone any thoughts or suggestions on suppliers/prices for brown paper?

I get mine from laundry serv, well the mrs gets it I pinched a roll, it's an endless bag/tube you just cut off the length you need, I pull enough off to cover the rug and enough to knot each end.

I bought a heat sealer off ebay, cut to length, snap the sealer on it and you're away.

Yep mines the same as Ash, not found a rug yet that wont fit in.
I like the sound of a heat sealer too.

My mrs burnt ours out but I like the knot on each end gives it that hands on look.

I cut it about 2ft too long, and stuff the excess inside the rolled up rug.  Allows it to breathe ;)

P.S. Can't help with supply, mine is yellow with brand markings on it!!!
