collecting would be impossible. Paypal, cheques in the post and bank transfers

All looks very good and I think you can be pretty happy with those results.

The thing that strikes me is you seem to be talking of income, especially from the one off jobs etc as £14000 plus, but there is no mention of profit after costs etc.   This will of course change the cost per client significantly.

Another thing that would concern me if you are planning on franchising this year is your lack of stats on drop off rates.  I know you have made an estimate of around 60 over the year, but this figure is really important.  Don't get me wrong, a drop off rate of 60 from 600 plus new customers is astoundingly good i would say.  especially if this is not only clients who cancel after their first cleans, but also includes later drop offs.

both the profit after costs and the lifespan of clients gained are critical figures for an investor so it'd be very interesting if you would give some more information on this.

in fact so many the posties prob have to use them red elastic bands for all of yours.

2500 in 8 years ... great going  :)

Yes thats a fair point but I really dont want to talk about proffits on here, I think thats getting a bit to detailed and there are some things that I dont feel I want to share on an open forum. Im sure you understand.

Hi Lee,

Yes I understand completely...  It's just by business brain trying to work things out.  I think it may be an entrepreneur thing also to focus on sales and growth more than costs and profit.  The opposite to accountants.  It is certainly something i do in my own businesses.

I couldnt agree more and its exactly what I do. I can say my franchisees will be getting an excellent package in terms of equipment, marketing and support. the first 10-20 in the area were based will also be getting £300-£400 a week from day one off my existing customer base.

Great video lee, hope you get better soon!

not been a bad year then! lol i think what you have done is great and seems to have really worked. The thing with building up your customer base from my piont of view is, as long as its getting bigger its working!! you can pick customers up for free when cleaning, pick them up off flyers which cost, or pay a canvasser which costs alot!! ive done all these and more to get customers!! one thing is once youve got a customer you could have them for years. i think youve spent your money well!

ive started this year with flyers and canvassing and hope to pick up around 500 new window cleaning customers.

we do 6 and 12 weekly. its hard to say the split over the entire customer base. I can say we get a 50/50 split of choice from new customers.

Hi Lee
That £300- £400 worth of customer, I take it that would be before all the over heads ?

Questions questions! haha

Im not a football fan, sorry. I do watch england games though.

yes two pumps per van but only one hot. you can run two reels from one pump.

3- £400 yes before over heads. it is quite rare for any franchise in any industry to provide work on day one.

IMO best months for leafltets are March-October

Takings off all first cleans till march 7th 2014
October  total=  cleaned  extra per month
November = cleaned extra per month
Total £  so far.
