For you guys who know about websites, how (if at all) does it help by constantly changing the content of it?

Kind of, not necessarily changing but adding content is definitely a plus when it comes to SEO.

Updating the content periodically does help - but only if its quality, unique content. Putting any old rubbish on the site could actually harm your ranking.
