I must confess, I have never used an aquadaptor. But I have sadly only ever heard issues from friends of mine about their build quality. I will not purchase to save water or save money.  I have 100 litre tank though so it isn't an issue for me.

I am puzzled about one thing though. You say you want to save water, which you equate to money, but say also you want to double in size this year. To double in size, you gotta spend money. If lads are travelling an hour and running out of water, I would say a more pressing issue is not an aquadaptor, but finding closer work or buying bigger tanks. That will save you a lot more money than an aquadaptor that may not even be used by your workers or may break!

its a unit dave its in middle of a housing estate off the main road london road i think just under the railway bridge, its a bit like an old cub hut or something

its a walk in shop not masses of stuff but the essentials you prob need day to day for the facelift poles in stock there

You say your tanks are not large enough for 2 operators. Can I ask what size tanks are they and how much work/ how many jobs are they given?

the system in the vivaro is only a 500 litre tank i bought it second hand under impression it was a 650litre!! they usually do somewhere between 25-30 jobs a day at minute

the system in the combo is only a 300 litre tank he prob does 11-15 jobs a day depending on size of houses

yep here what your saying steve im looking at changing the tank in big van over in spring just with being pressed for daylight at minute im trying to get  as much done as possible at minute its not a major issue, the major issue is the fact im having to pay my water bill thru an adjacent unit which supplies mine and the other two units in my row, which means my water is not discounted at minute like at old unit by 40% from water company hopefully this issue will be getting resolved by landlord but it costing me approx 4-500 quid extra per quarter

Richy, your bill seems rather excessive   A thousand litres of water costs about £2.70 down this way plus a rebate on sewerage.
Check your calculations - something's not right.

I pay £25 a week including my four bed house usage.

Find somewhere not on a meter I'd say.

How long have your friends had them and which model?  We have kept improving the product, but build quality has never been an problem, we use high-quality components and they are all made in the UK.  They've always had a 12 months warranty.

With the release of the latest eXtra Light model, although a lot had been said about weight, it's now really light.

this year im trying to cut as many unneeded cost out the business as possible i currently have three lads out cleaning and we prob use about 1200-1500 litres of water a day

how much water do you think these aqua adaptors would save me as my water bill is currently about 1100 every 3 months due to ballaches regarding my units water

It does depend on how they're used, but generally users report about 20% saving over other methods.

A post on another forum yesterday showed 33% saving, but not sure what he was doing to save water before fitting his Aqua-dapter.

hi we did today 28 jobs worth around 370 ,all maintanance cleans and a 10 m strip of fascia.
we used around 350 l ,2 poles both with taps (from gardiners)and plus we changed the jets in the brushes with 1mm ones.i have to say it does save a bit of water ( i would say around 50l/day)
most of my jobs are wfp but we also do trad aswell if wfp won't do a good enough job

They had mark 1&2 I think. I just won't make a purchase until however is making them cracks it. It doesn't seem long ago that the first one was released and already there is a mark 3, which kind of backs up my theory that something was amiss with the first 2 models.  As I say, I am not really in a position to judge because I have never used one, just going by the opinion of those I know who have. I must know five or six who owned them and only one keeps using them.

Hi Steve,

The Mk1 was released in June 2010 and was only on sale for about 4 months.  It required the pole to be modified to fit so, responding to customer demand we developed the Mk2.

The Mk2 was very successful throughout the rest of 2010 and 2011 (there are many still in use), nothing was 'amiss' but we looked for a way to improve the method of fitting to the pole (a separate part and clamp were needed with the Mk2).  We did have an unforeseeable issue with one batch, which we replaced for any customers affected free of charge.

The Mk3 was released early in 2012, being lighter and much easier to fit.

The latest version of the Mk3 has changes to the components just to make it lighter, as that was the main requested change.

They all work in a similar way and we only really see problems when they aren't kept clean, just like a pole works better and lasts longer when it's looked after.  We put them through a lot of tests, both in the workshop and out in the field before they're released (see the video on our FAQs > Technical Info page for an example).

Unfortunately as I don't know who your friends are or how long they did use their Mk1s or Mk2s for I obviously can't comment on why they've had any issues.  I can only say that we are very confident in the product and encourage customers to contact us with any issue they may have.  We have a 28 day money back guarantee for anyone who's unsure to try one and send it back if they don't get on with it.
