Are they good?ive just ordered one,i have about 3 of the white ones and like them so thought i would get a black,i also have a few other gardiners ones but normailly get the white ones.

I used one for about 9 months and liked it. Positives:

1. Scrubbed well.
2. Soft bristles give a nice feel on the glass and makes scrubbing seem easier and faster.

Negatives:

1. Loses the odd bristle - mine was not too bad but did suffer more wear than usual - others complain about this more.
2. I noticed toward the end of the time I used it that it seemed to lose a lot of scrubbing power (e.g. ability to remove bird poo).
3. It is not as wide as the standard sl brush and so takes more scrubs to cover an area of glass. This means it takes longer to clean the glass and I found this irritating as when I went back to a standard sl brush I speeded up.

The only sill brush I use now is a vikan flocked. I know it is heavy but is the best IMO though I certainly would not want to use it all the time.

I would be tempted to try the white sill brush but get fed up spending £35-£40 every time I decide to try a new Gardiners brush.

Much lighter, feels better on the glass but as already said it looses bristles easily. Is there any difference between the white and black apart from the obvious?

The softer bristle brushes will wear faster than other bristle types. Drop me an email quoting CIU-DD-29 and I can help you with an equivalent to the Vikan as the new Medium Mixed Sill version is much closer to the Vikan.

We have looked into this and have a few concerns about flex over the width with this design. The tooling development is quite costly and complicated for these brushes so I am waiting until I have finished the new Xtreme brush tooling project before looking at this idea again.

But with the best intentions I fell the sill brush as some more development work to be done. I feel the end of the brush needs more support from bristle at  the right and left end of each brush.They feel as if they wobble to much, Ii have all three white, black and red.Thay are not as stable on the glass as the super lite range. By the time the sill brush splays to the sides and work well they are reaching the end of there life. When they are new they feel to me like a Robin reliant with one front wheel.I am not trying to diss this brush only my feelings for what it`s worth.

More bristle bunches, closer together on the edge 5cm of the brush, also all edge bristle bunches starting slightly in from the edge compared to the originals. This has made quite a difference to the usability and longevity of the brush.

i loved these as they had a good splay of water and last ages.
ive just about finished off a red superlite dual trim after 18mths hard usage and i am going to remove the fan jets for another brush.

i may get a couple of the new sill brushes to try out ,

More bristle bunches, closer together on the edge 5cm of the brush, also all edge bristle bunches starting slightly in from the edge compared to the originals. This has made quite a difference to the usability and longevity of the brush.
