I just dont get it, Spend your first years potential takings buying a round. Bound to lose some custies cause your face dont fit. And still have to canvas / leaflet for new customers.10K would buy you an awful lot of canvasing and leaflets. ..... IMHO
at least you would be earning from day 1. other bizzes you spend 10k and then find you are still spending afterwards, such as on a market stall or burger kiosk. Quite near me is a bus cafe that has changed hands twice this last year buying gas thats another expense then theres the generator and trips to the shop for bread/onions ,meat, cheese all add up bigtime

This is purely buying goodwill. which has little of no residual value.. It doesn't make sense to buy a 1k list for 10k. You have to increase the turnover sufficiently to earn back your 10k If you start with nothing you may not be earning from Day 1 but its a lot less to lose if you mess it all up. Also you are only trying to recoup a minimal investment.. I can however see the merit in buying a round at a sensible price. But a whole years worth of takings??
