Pocket GPRS Chip & Pin Terminal from Payatrader.com
« on: January 26, 2013, 06:11:42 am »
I'm thinking of getting one of the Pocket GPRS Chip & Pin Terminals from Payatrader.com, I would be interested to know if anyone is actually using one and how they are getting on with it.

I was thinking the same but would have liked a printed receipt . Somewhere I have a small  hand size brother portable printer that cost me £350 that I would  have linked in if I can find it.

When you use the Payatrader mobile service on your smartphone you have the option to input the custy's email address and once payment has been accepted it automatically emails the receipt over.

I love payatrader

I must admit the fact you don't get a print out reciept is a negative in my opinion...the reason I'm looking at it is the cost overall isn't too high.

If not having a printed receipt means that much then buy a portable wireless printer and do it that way...something like this perhaps...

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Epson-Expression-XP-305-Small-In-One-Printer/dp/B008OHNID2/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1359209562&sr=8-6

"It allows users to quickly and easily print documents and photos wirelessly from smartphones and tablet PCs."

Current Amazon price is £42 inc free delivery

Russ does it store customers email  as this could be a softway to harvest email contacts  for Newsletters etc

Hi Ian

When you take a payment you have four options available :

1 Use your smartphone
2 Use the virtual terminal section of their website
3 Phone payatrader and give the custy's card details
4 The custy calls payatrader quoting your account number and the amount...

I use the virtual terminal to take booking payments, and my smartphone on site...
As long as you allow for a 3% charge this is all you will pay, in my eyes its the most convenient way to take card payments.
You can also build up a list of customers with every transaction which is really handy, as long as you take all the details including email etc...

I have Izettle as well, but until they sort out the visa payment problem i wont be using it...

I am only interested in the Pocket GPRS Chip & Pin Terminal for this you don't use your smart phone,
I'm really interested to know if anyone else is using this system and what they think of it.
