Hot water Boo Yah

First time used 1 KW aquarium heater put in static tank 3 hrs ago and already warm should be nice and hot by the morning .

Staic tank is a water butt in shed with lid on just been out and lifted lid and steam was rising out  ;D ;D.

Forecast for tonight -5 so should get a good start in the morning and work all day he he . Mike

not joking be careful you dont get that water butt too hot i dont think that type of plastic can handle high temps  :-\
WE CLEAN BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT WITH WATER FED POLE WHEN WORKING AT HEIGHT.

mike did you get the aquarium heater from and how much?

CleanCare i have a thick walled water butt not the usual thin plastic thanks for the warning though.

Hi Suds hope your well i got the heater from www.ebay.co.uk about 18 months ago so prices may have increased a bit   only used it for the first time last night.

I have not insulated static tank so will check it out shortly

Water is at guess 15 Degs tank is not insulated so i am losing heat which should be heating water will insulate with some radiator foil i have . Mike
