Hey all.
Fed up of using the leather holster with certain taps which break all the time, pull out and leak,  too many spares have to be carried on board, sooooo like the idea and seriously considering it for my slx22 and super lite 46 ft. Please be honest and no offence taken cheers guys!

Too heavy, dont bother
Push fit tap ( with inserts ) and dont bother with a holster use a key hasp to attach to a karabina on your belt loop.
Easy, light and cheap

External pole hose; just nip the hose and water off; easy, simple, cheap (well cheaper than cheap), nothing can go wrong, you don't have pole hose dragging dirt into your pole (increasing the life of it), and it's easier to extend and retract the pole too.

It's the quickest way to work.

Aquadapter mk3l for me...i have tried nipping the hose, and hose taps, the AD is far quicker to work with IMO and its really not heavy once your used to it

I've used remotes, push fit taps, nipping the hose ad the aqua dapter. I can honestly say the AD is the fastest, easiest most convenient method of stopping water flow. The only negative is the slightly increased weight to the top of the pole. I started off with an AD the I went 4 months trying taps, remotes ect and ended up coming back to the AD.

After you have used it for a few days you forget about the added weight.

I find the extra weight is  not an issue except when holding the pole at almost horizontal when working above conservatories and extensions with my arms extended  above my head. For normal windows it's great.

I've taken mine back off and trying bending the aquadapter pole hose. I have a tap on the brush end of the pole.

What is a key hasp and a karabina sounds interesting!
Do you use the mk3L or one of the older models?

like Lee i have tried taps/remotes/pinching hose/triggers etc, etc.....

NOTHING comes close the AD for ease of use/water saving/convience/reliability  should i go on ?

love my aquadapter but mine has a tendancy to stick so i have to yank it 3 or 4 times before it shuts the flow off. it turns on fine first time every time but turning off is an issue. seems to be the little black thing that goes in and out seems to get stuck in stopping it from turning off??

funny that, just dug mine out of shed today, as i was sick of bending down every time i wanted water off, i find it irritating holding the tap while working, reason i stop using aqua was because i bought an extreme pole and did not want extra weight or lengh as i use same pole for bottom windows.

anyway what a treat, done work quicker, did not think about weight, wish i dug it out sooner, and when i ed finished each window, the orange hose had coiled back up on its own, unlike that stiff yellow hose that i some times swear at  :   would recommend.  jp

I bought one with great anticipation(early one}  It jammed a lot,and eventually after nursing it through various breakages i gave up on it. It is a shame as i really wanted it to work and only had it for about 3 months!

Been using it for almost a year now and very happy with it. The only problem i ve had was the spring broke but AD changed it FOC as it was under warranty. If you ordering one also order some spare springs, they are only a couple of quid each.

Well I decided to have a go with the Aquadapter again today for its superior water management. I wanted to keep excess water to a minimum because it was -1   and I wanted to avoid too much water lying around.

However after about 20-30 minutes I think it froze up. At least, the little return spring got stuck, not the big on/off one.

Had to take it back off and go back to kinking the pole hose.

I've tried a few things, and personally I prefer a small tap with inserts, cable tied to the end of my pole.

too heavy... but how it effects the rigidity of the pole put me off . tap and kink method all the way for me... each to there own though

I broke my Mk2 recently and used the 'nipping ' method to get me through, works a treat.

Really liked the Aquadapter though and would recomend using one, just not for me at this present moment.
