Can you run 2 reels and 2 pumps from one heater ? Just wondered what the easiest way to go about this is. Thanks

I couldn't think of a way to do this as the pump needs to go before the heater to create the pressure for the heater to fire up.

I just used one pump, one heater and two reels. Worked fine for me, the flow varies if one operator turns his flow off but not as much as you would think.

We use 1 pump with 2 reels, the pump goes before the heater, the flow rate does go up on one reel, when the other is turned off, but it is not instant, take 10-20 seconds to see the increased flow.

There way a guy on here that ran 2 pumps from one heater, but he had the pumps after the heater pulling the water through, I'm not sure how well it worked, he wasn't the type of guy that would have anything that didn't work properly so it was probably ok.

Ok great thanks so I guess run the pump at double the pressure we would for 2 pumps to make up for it ?

im just about to try it, im going to put the outlets of the two pumps to a t peice 12.5 mil then into the heater, then on the heater im putting a duel hose splitter one going to each real, if there is a problem with the duel splitter, i will replace it with another t piece, i cant see why this would not work as the main reason for me to have hot is to stop the hoses freezing

last week i was doing just that, however i made it two pumps the other day and it is a million times better, the flow is beautiful

So a t piece at before and after is the way to go then I think

thats what i recon mate, however not don it before, but as long as water is going through the heater it should fire up, i guess on tuesday afternoon you and i will both find out :-)

Yeah pump after, it was slumpbuster that had this setup.
