It happens bud.
Let the locals (windies) know. Least no-one else (should) will get done.
And if you did a good job, hopefully he'll remember and swallow it when you charge him £40 next time. Once bitten, twice shy

They do it mate cos they want to take the p and they can and they will the only way around it is this , charge properly for the first clean so maybe £45 if he says £20 once a month you say No £45 first clean then £20 if you want to go regular this way you may loose the job but you filtered out a messer

Or just do it how you did but keep in mind anything not cleaned over 6 months has a 50-50 chance of being a one off so if you need the work maybe its worth taking the gamble I do it too sometimes u just can't help your self , today infact customer came out from a house next door I have really wanted 2 in a row so single valued him took a punt hopefully he will stick , but I only gave him half the house that increases the chances

Any jobs like his mate I don't fancy I either inflate the price, or tell them I'm not insured to clean anything but the glass ;D

People seem to get a kick out of getting one over on you.

On Wednesday one of my customers saw me and asked me to clean hers. She owed me for last time (25 euro), and told me she would pay the full 50 on Thursday. No problem, says I.

Unfortunately I couldn't get back to her on Thursday so I called last night. She told me she is now short of money and will pay me next Thursday. Slightly irritated,I told her I know how she feels.

I am fast losing the will to be Mr Nice Guy.

he asked to clean sign so i said £30 he told his staff if i did it for £20 he would have it done once a month

Probably a little late now but as he isn't having it done once a month you were well within your rights to charge the £30!

Charge first cleans like that by the hour... I charge gutter and conservatory cleans that way between 40 for good customers and 60 for annual or clearly one off ones....

They seem to forget we are in charge , other day a first clean came out started to point talking about his sills and kept following me around , I stopped put the pole down raised my hands up and said you are buying a clean from me that means I will do my best to clean to a standard I decide is satisfactory he continued to point and harras so I walked back to the van and said sorry this isn't going to work he followed almost devistated I said let me do my job otherwise we can't move on he left me alone after that,

He would have had me at his house for 2 hours if i let him he was that type I never let people like this take the p , same goes for first cleans try not to get excited u need to ask your self why does this person all of a sudden want a regular clean , be Cautious charge properly for first cleans that way you are covered if they cancel
