was asked to quote for front of house leaded windows gave quote knowing im not going to do it because of the pitch of the paved front garden sloping away from house and one window over pitched roof, anyway she said i could of had it for the price unknowing she has a W/C who charges £6.. Now its only the pitch of the garden that puts me off and maybe the fact she has a W/C but she aproched me.. but any tips for paved gardens that slope away, does putting scrim under ladder work, or do trad guys avoid if pos

I used to use a Rojak Ladder Stopper for pitched roofs that weren't too deep; it meant I could use the ladder at an unsafe angle, safer (not safely).

But to be honest, avoid this stuff while using ladders - it really isn't worth the risk of falling - and she sounds like she's 'price conscious' (aka a tight pain in the bottom) if she's already got a window cleaner.

And in the medium term, look to go WFP, jobs like that are a doddle with a pole; really easy.
