If you want loose banter get on the free for all at the bottom of the page.

We are tight on this section, a lot of that is because we all know each other, do work with each other, pass work around. What you see on the forum is only a very small part of the 'click' that you see.

We get wise a*ses coming on here all the time, wanting this and that, bouncing round the forum, trying to get their post count up, expecting us to pass on established practices and all the answers to the - How do you do this questions.

I'm glad it's a click - tends to keep the k**bheads out of the way. Now you might think I'm aiming that at you but I couldn't be because I have put a smiley at the end of this sentence ;D

Have a good day

Rob ;D

Sorry I thought the purpose of this forum was to try helping each other out including lesser mortals like myself but guess you lads are way too important for that so best you just keep patting each other on the back why don't you.

I suggest if you want a private forum for just yourselves I'm sure the site owner can arrange that for you so to so say keep the riffraff out like myself that is just interested to learn from others.

By the way there is no smiley attached to this one.

Smurf,

I don't think he meant it offensively.

Don't take this the wrong way mate, but who are you. Your profile gives no website details, no one knows where your based (I don't think). Naturally people can be weary to giving out their own hard fought information to people they don't know and who could potentially be local to them and therefore direct competition.

A lot of guys on here have found cleaning methods and tried different cleaning chemicals at their own expense and on their own time.. People give out free advise on here that has cost them several several severral £s to discover.

I have been in the cleaning sector for a while but never have I been on such a bullpoop forum like this one before. No wonder ciu has such a bad reputation and now I can see why.

Agree with what you are saying to a degree, its nice to know who you are talking to, however once you post its there for everyone to see, lurkers and muppets alike plus potentially the local competition. The forum should make everyone show their details full stop, that will never happen.

There is a tendancy, maybe its human nature, once someone makes a negative comment for one to retaliate. I have only just noticed 'Smurf' he added his view to Hedgehog gutter guards, I didn't bother to answer back, he has his view but the 'guard' does have its uses. He has then contributed to another post with usefull details of a ladder stand-off, Some of his other comments I agree with others I dont.

Smurf you need to accept the forum for what it is ..

Smurf I have to disagree mate, i've been on here a couple of years i'd say and i'm not an out and out pressure washer by any means but I've had nothing but help from all these guys. Lee @Blastaway always helping me out and passing work my way, Rob@Mclean has chatted to me in the past and even gave me free equipment!!! Chris gave me advice over the phone when something wouldn't work, he just rung me, i'd never even spoke to the guy.

It works both ways, you give something up, which I always try to do, and you receive stuff back!

What sort of cherrypicker was you up in Lee , the winds last night where terrible round here not good for working at height, check your underpants for poo on second thoughts dont bother checking take straight to bin ;D

It was horrible Trev. We used a Z20. 20m from Smart Platforms. Had call today to do another night on it. 3 hours weren't enough. A lot of downtime in moving around the lift.

Lee try Blade Access in Bradford - sometimes easier/quicker to have 34 metre operated lorry mount

We have a little GSR 20 metre - which we use quite a lot - but often hire in bigger kit to make jobs go faster/smoother

Thanks for the kind words & offers guys really appreciate it.
Got home yesterday and it has crept a few more metres closer so at the moment it is about 25 metres away, from what I can gather yesterday army were round putting sandbags out but ran out !!! so didn't get any, spent yesterday evening making our own the other problem we have is there is a school field at the back of our place which is now flooding at a very fast rate so if we get the rain they say is coming, then 2 water approaches  >:(
