Paypal limit

Ive just finished sorting out a bit of a problem with Paypal

If you pay in over £1900 in a calender year, they automatically put a stop on your account until you can provide them with a range of information including details on partnerships, incorporated dates, etc

This is because they act as a bank and have to comply with EU law

What was a real kicker for me was that this happened on the 27th December and so i couldnt get to the £70 in the account

I still can not see why anyone would want to use Paypal for payment. Until December I traded online and always resented Paypal fees. I used a mecrchantacount on my website which was much cheaper. What is wrong with bank transfer? It is free!

i use bank transfer as well, and offered paypal as an additional service

Over the year, paypal has cost me £100. Ive definatley saved that in diesel, not having to collect

Why do you suppose it is Paypal fees or collect? I don't collect. Never have. Nor do I pay Paypal fees or SAEs. Cash, cheque or bank transfer. That's three payment options. Quite enough I think.

was you using a personal one or business account Steve ?
all that is, is verifying your a business, its easy, can see it being a nightmare though if you didnt know this.
