Whilst you can just reach them with a 35ft pole on modern two-storey houses (I do occasionally as well with my 35ft) there will be many occasions when this would not be enough.

If I was targeting solar panel work I would aim for a 42-45ft pole as this would give you the comfortable reach needed.

Might come down to price - How many are you doing each week? Could you justify the expense of the Xtreme?

As I see it from our range you have three options:

1. Xtreme47

2. Smax45

3. 8x Super-Lite Modular extensions with top gooseneck adapter

Of these 3 options the Xtreme would be the most user friendly and useable on most other work. The SMAX45 would be the most flexible, but this could be improved by not fully opening sections 2-6 in use. The SL modular extensions is the option that full-time solar-panel cleaners we supply around Europe tend to go for due to rigidity and robustness in use.

for my work that i have already the pole that would be used most would be the sl extreme 47 and tbh have put off buying 1 previously due to cost however with solar panels ... even a few extra jobs a month then I can justify it .... catch 22 no suitable pole then no point in looking for work  :)

Ian - I've had an SL2 for over 3 years - it's a great pole when working on solar panels.

it takes a little longer to put together but once on the panels it's a breeze to use and shorten as you work your
way down the roof.

I run my 47ft pole as a 35ft normally but add the extra sections when necessary.

Solar panels on a 1930's semi, as Alex says, I can get at about 42ft. Nice to have the extra for falling gardens.

Modern semi with lower roof and floors - 35ft seems to do it.
It's a game of three halves!

47ft extreme is perfect.
