Web site traffic
« on: January 01, 2013, 07:25:38 pm »
This month I have had over 600 visits to my web site but only a fraction of these have been converted to sales.
Obviously this is a piece of string question but roughly what sort of figures is everyone else getting, ie monthly traffic and conversion.

how are you measuring the traffic? google analytics?

also, is that 600 unique visitors or impressions?

Measuring via Weebly's own analytics, not much difference between unique and impressions.

I presume you'll mainly be seeing impressions and also hits from seach engine robots. So not the best stats in the world to analyse.

I dont do adwords but there are guys on here that pay several pounds for one click i.e. one visitor! so it must be working for some.

Can you see which page vistors are going too?

Are the visitors mainly coming from search engines?

I suggest you try and add better analytics to your site. try getclicky.com. its free to use on sites generating less than 3000 impressions a day, you'll be fine on your carpet cleaning site. I pay over $50 a month for my other sites!
They'll give you a piece of code to add to your site's files. You do this in the admin section.

Thanks, I will give that a go. At the moment I have no way of telling which pages visitors are going to or where they are coming from.
