Hello do these thing really double the vacuum power. I don't see how it can be done, anybody out there know?

I suppose it will depend on what type of vac relief is currently fitted to your machine (if any) and whether or not it can be adjusted to vent at a higher amount.

I am not sure about doubling  but it should improve your vacuum.

Most truck mounts start leaking air through the spring vac relief valve at 10 hg or even lower. If you close the existing vac relief valve and install a Bayco Valve you will stop the air leakage (loss of vacuum) until the machine reaches 15hg. At this point the Bayco valve will open to protect the machine. It just means that between 10 and 15 hg you are not leaking air and therefore not losing vacuum.

Some truckmounts in the States now have them fitted as standard.

As Nigel said, it wont double the vacuum however it will improve it for all the reasons noted above.

I recently fitted a Kunkle Valve (same idea as a Bayco) and you can most certainly feel the difference! Would highly recommend one!

Got mine of the forums, so not sure where you can get them but Glynn Waterworth may be able to point you in the right direction.

I used to have a Kuncle valve fitted on my Boxxer 421 but didnt really notice much difference , but was told it needed to be at the opposite end to vac inlets, is that correct and would it make much difference ?

Depends - if you're running a 3 or 4 series blower, then you probably will notice the difference.  Anything larger than that and you probably won't.

Always bear in mind that 'lift' on it's own does not necessarily improve your 'cleaning prowess'.   You require the intricate balance of lift, airflow and air velocity to maximise your cleaning results.

Tried Free Flow a while back and IMHO it was complete crap! It needs adjusted dependant on what length of hose your using which is a real pain in the arse, Stay away from it in MHO.
