office chairs

hi all, i have scrubed some office chairs, the swivel kind, the black bit and they dry dirty, the client asked me to clean them the day after i already had! i did explain. The only thing i can think of will bring the up is that black spray for car wheels when trying to sell. The question is , is there a chemical to bring these up like new please ::)  regards blacksheep

you could try wd 40 or buy a product that is used for cleaning the plastic trim in side cars .

After cleaning spray with polish but do not wipe, this should keep them looking clean and will repel dust and dirt until the next clean (my cleaners clean all chair arms and legs weekly).

Fox ,hi ya , tryed that but this garage  offices for some reason is like a nightmare when i clean, the down stairs offices have lino flooring, which is very muddy in the evening, mainly because the large yard where they keep crashed cars ect recovery is very muddy and the lads bring this in on their feet, then feet go on chairs and so dusty. looks like a no win thing thanks anyway

The product I recommend is actually for cars so you were on the right lines...................

It's made by Autoglym and is called 'vinyl and rubber cleaner' in a spray bottle.

Absolutely brilliant for this and available from any shop like Halfords etc.

An old valeting trick try Baby oil. Put it onto a lint free cloth and rub in..
It really does the trick on car bumbers and plastics.

thanks all, i have decided to try all bits of advice,as there is four leg bits with a wheels on . try this on one chair and will let you know which one works best, just in case anyone else has this problum, cherrs all
