After speaking to my cleaners about wanting to get another van and round out next year we have come up with a plan to not have the hastle and expence of needing a third van
Instead of buying another van why not build up a weekend round up as with 2 vans doing this you would be better off than having a third out.
Ok it would only be 16 days per month total worked instead of 20 but The savings would be huge. No 3rd van to pay for and maintain let alone fuel for each week.
you could add a nice £50 job each day too to compensate the 4 missing days a month.
As an example-.
New van 2-15k
Insurence 1k
Average price to kit out another van 2k
Fuel a month £200 so £2400 a year
Minimum would be 7k for a basic van and kit over the first year not including mot, servicing, maintaining costs so more closer to 8k realistically.
In year 1 withought adding an extra £50 a day for the sat and sun (£300 instead of£250) you would be well quids in 4k a month extra coming in or with the extra £50 added to every sat and sun monthly total would be just under 5k equaling what another van would generate.
My workers will have no problem working saturday and neither do i, all i need to do is find a couple of lads who want to top up there weekly money by covering sundays which shouldnt be too hard at all and untill then we can do the sundays whilst im busy canvassing up an extra 16 days of work.
Thoughts please??.
