tar,

Just wondering as it  can be confusing, i was looking at the https://www.payyours.co.uk/Page/Mobile_Payments which links to your mobile phone then u hand that to the customer and then enter there pin, but it works with an app on iPhone or android .. not sure if its any cheaper but it looks quite good.

there are different options, but with the terminal it takes all cards, never had a problem with connection. and customers are familiar with it, they use the same ones in the shops!

to be honest, just mail them and ask, they will send it all to you. Theyre a decent firm, if you call them, they wont hound you, i looked at loads, but went with these cos, no rental, no contract, and on the pest control forums, they sing their praises and cant fault them!!!

I think izettle is the best option. Yes visa is a bit frustrating but most clients now have a smartphone and about 30% of my payments in the last fortnight have been by MasterCard. Also tbh most have been impressed by the technology rather than put off, of course though there has been some that are reluctant due to security concerns.

I think with the $47m worth of investment izettle have recieved and the fact that visa who once backed out, decided to climb back aboard the future is bright for mobile phone payments. It's only a matter of time, once they have devised a secure way of accepting pin payments through a mobile phone, terminals will be a thing of the past.

If you read my posts above they already have sorted out a chip and bin for mobiles. however izettle said they have no intention in future to use it system.

Yes I've read them but the problem with payyours is you have a terminal (another thing to carry) that will connect over Bluetooth through phone to handle the payment. izettle is all in the phone apart from a tiny reader attachment. Also izettle the reader is free and all transactions including MasterCard (which is usually at a higher rate with merchant banks) are at 2.5%.

I haven't read about izettle not wishing to push chip and pin. You may be right though seeing as the u.s and rest of Europe are still using signature verification.

One thing is for sure though since I have offered the card service I have explained that I am using it due to immediate payment as invariably clients paying by bacs are recieved late. This has definately ensured faster payments for those with doubts about izettle payments.

The terminal has its own sim card, it doesnt need the phone at all.

Another thing to carry? mines in the van!

Ok so it's the same type of mobile  terminal like many others.

What are your merch charges per transaction? Can you provide a receipt?

yea, prints receipt off.

Have a look on their site re fees, not sure off top of my head.

all mobile terminals are the same, own sim, print receipts, and i think you'll find that 99% of them are ingenico's.
