I was in a lady's house today for over two hours and the miserable buggar didn't once offer a coffee.

Now I know it's not the law, and some will say that payment is enough, but when we have workmen in our house the missus always puts the kettle on.

It should be a legal requirement in my opinion

a women said to me she was going into town to draw some money out, i asked "could you pop into costa and get us 2 latte's?"  she obliged, saved me sending my helper. who wet himself when i said it knowing full well i'm a coffee addict.

i too spent 2 hours in a house today without being offered a coffee, i always leave the house with a litre of coffee in a large flask cup. keeps me going just in case of situations like today.

I did 4 jobs earlier this week and wasn't offered a drink at any of them even though at one whilst filling my sprayer at the sink they were making themselves a cup

Have to agree about the goat's milk tho! In a previous job/life I used to occasionally go to a small farm, and always forgot they bred goats - yuck.

My decorator is not subtle.

If he's not being offerred a drink he tends to ask the homeowner if they are any good at general knowledge.

Decorator " Could you tell me what letter somes after "s" in the alphabet?"

Client "T ?"

Decorator "Thanks very much-two sugars please"

Yes yuk! I've been given that in tea maybe twice in 20 odd years, the last time probably more than 10 ago and I swear I can still taste it.  
Oh and rice milk - double yuk!

Woman I worked for the other week asked me to hold the door for her while she walked through it with 2 cups of tea, one for her one for her guest,needless to say I upped my price accordingly

Yep.

I give a courtesy call 10-15 mins before arriving and quite often find that the kettle is boiled for arrival
