13mm od I think I used. Doesn't fit brass hozelock fittings but will fit the normal yellow/metal fittings.

Deffinetly car radiator hose alOng with brass hose locks-the ones that are help on by jubilee clips.

Alex did source a barbed hozelock connector once so that the fatter radiator hoses could be jubilee clipped on. The car hoses tend to have thick walls and a bigger outside diameter.

actually, remembering now, it did expand a bit, and the hozelocks were a pig to get on.

I suck through my heater so I have cold washing machine pipe from filter to heater, then braded hose from heater to pump and radiator hose to reel.

The washing machine and braded hose are great because they have the threaded fittings already on to connect to the heater.

These are the hozelocks I use, just warm the rad hose and it pushed on no problems.

Its ok im sorted now.

Ionic do a 1/2inch hose for hot and there orange 8mm RX reel hose is designed for hot also.
