New Style Citroen Berlingo
«

Hi,
Im looking at vans. Just starting out beginning of the year. Im getting a 500 litre system. Im looking at a new style Citroen berlino 850 payload. Is this a big enough van to carry all the equipment required for wfp?
The other one im looking at is a Vauxhall Vivaro. Nice big van but the only thing puts me off in freezing conditions I dont think it would fit in a standard garage. Whats best guys?
Cheers,
Steve

Should be OK for a 1 man set-up weight wise, I thought about this for a future van but would want to go with the longer version of the Berlingo. Frustrating thing is though it has a lower payload (about 100kg less) - Bizarre - so unless this changes in future, it rules it out for me.

I have a Citroen Dispatch small wheel base with a 1000kg payload it fits into my standard size garage.
500 litre tank filled will use up 500 kg of your payload.
It should be o.k. with one man only

Hi John,
I was looking at the Peugeot version of your van. Saw a real minter but had 104,000 miles on it. That put me off. What do you think?

Steve,
My van is 2007 and has about 40,000 miles on it.
I find it to be a very reliable van and the perfect size for my needs.
Arthur Halliday at Sureclean in Omagh had one with a great set-up.
Give him a call and he would be glad to show it to you.

Dont think high milage would matter if the van has been well serviced
and is at the right price.

Steve,
Try and get a van you can grow into rather than out of.
That's what I think anyway I bought a nearly new Peugeot
Expert has enough room for a 500 litre tank gutter vac
And all the other bits you need to carry. This van will fit
into a garage if you have no ladders on top.
Also think about the closed length of your poles as
I see a lot of WFP window cleaners with their poles on the
roof of their vans this is ok but I prefer them inside the van.

Have you thought of the VW caddy. Slightly bigger payload too.
Much nicer than the Citroen or Peugeot (IMO) a few quid more though.
