Email Autoresponder
« on: December 09, 2012, 03:31:42 pm »
Does anyone know of where I can get an autoresponder where I can add customers names to a list and use it to send out emails to all of them?

someone mentioned aweber to me, but this seems to insist that the persons are sent an opt in email to ask to be part of this marketing.  what i am looking for is something which I can add my customers emails to and then they will get emails off me at set times, advertising new offers or whatever.

cheers

Richard when I go back in my office tomorrow I will ask some marketers i know if they know of something for you, there are some ways to get them on aweber they still have to opt in though, this is to stop spam and I'm pretty sure you have to have permission to email people or it would be classed as spam which could land you in hot water

Why not just create a contact group in outlook? Probably the simplest way if you're just sending out an email/offer to your customers on a monthly basis.

Hi Ian,

I would imagine you could ask for a receipt that it's been opened, as per normal email. I've never bothered tracking them to be honest.

If you were really paranoid/excited about which customers had opened them and how many times etc, which would give you a good guide as to a "warm" lead, you could use something like spypig.com and then follow up with a call etc.

May be a bit OTT for window cleaning.

Cheers,

Huw

Just had a quick read of that spypig. Sounds like the receipt setting on windows mail/outlook. That requires the customer to click send for you to recurve a 'read' receipt, there's no guarantees whatever system you use.

I prefer the personal touch as a customer and as a service provider.

If you're out on the tools I can't see that you'd have time to deal with all the other admin side of the business you appear to immerse yourself in, as well as all the other projects and Internet based stuff you do.
