Hi guys my Portable HWE (the jag)  and all the kit including the Vac, floor oscillator.hoses chemicals etc etc
is due any day now You fellas and ladies will know much better than me the size of van that suits the job best
Losing the car so three front seats a real help does any one know if a dual passenger seat is available in a smaller van if that would work that is? your comments most welcome as its van hunting time

Had Peugeot Expert with 3 front seats but only need 2 now, so changed to LWB Hi roof Transit Connect ....... loads of oooomph and room for same kit !!
All sat on floor, apart from some spotters in small rack, so handles very well but do ensure a minimum of one side door for easy access to everything

Pity ou can't wait for new connect, bringing 3 seater version out jan

Or look new shape berlingo with 3 in front

Or crew van,transit connect, rear seats fold flat.
Lwb high roof.

Theses are superb vans, but go for the 90 ps power output, he 75ps is a little under powered and not as good on fuel.

If I was using porty and didn't need water tank, I would get the connect crew van.

I have a swb Vivaro,I moved the bulkhead back,put 4 seats in front of bulkhead,all my kit in rear end,HWE machine, 2x rotaries,sebo duo,sebo 36,etc etc,drives great & its a comfy 7 seater

you must be an ex engineer that bulkhead  must be welded in isn't it
not sure I have got the skills for that kind of task and besides is it legal?
but hey, definitely food for thought if I could do it and afford the van in the first place
having a look they do seem a bit pricey

How about a Vauxhall Combo (crew van) you can pick them up cheap now the ugly new versions out.

Plus the rear seats fold flat to the floor if its a the factory one.

is it about ford connect size a bit hard to tell from the photo
but the folding seats for the grand kids would be spot on

Its a bit longer than a connect...Seen them for about 3 grand down my way with no vat.

The connect cost me 240 pound but i know the the sign writer very well..He has done all my vans for the last 10 odd years..It would cost about 450 pound.

Paul, I have Jaguar 6.6 and all the ancillaries you mention .......fit well with a bit of room to spare ...... extra foot in back, helps when taking rugs away, especially with fold down passenger seat and cage swivel bulkhead  !!
If you ever use a rotary machine, you will appreciate the added height as well, my vinyls cost me £250 (last October) and he did it on my drive whilst I was in Algarve

The bulkhead is held in place via hex bolts,to remove and refit 30 min tops. Yes its legal (as long as insurance is informed). I have all the chrome n lights,alloys etc and keep it clean (we are cleaners after all).Its my work van,its my people carrier,its my advertising media. You can buy some great magnetic signs now on fleabay (i have them as sometimes i want to be OFF DUTY).......Also my best advice is only buy a van with all metal rear doors (no windows) makes things a lot more secure

Cage swivel bulkhead er what! is that whatever standard?
£450 sharp intake of breath for the lettering!
theirs one on ebay £3400 plus vat for an 08 plate 107000 mls
is that too many miles or do they last just seems such a lot miles

Swivel bulkhead seems to be on most Connects that I found when I got mine 2 years back ....... only used the 3 metre length on about 3 or 4 occasions but I would have been stuck otherwise !!

great post and good advice ,  so I presume this bulkhead fits behind the seats prettu easily and holes for bolts already drilled
how does that leave you for load space for a portable/ vacs,/wands/ scrubbers etc etc
