which gloves

Just spent £40 on a pair of sealskin gloves but even then my hand were screaming cold, just wondered what others have found --my mate uses some from kingstown glove company and says theyr'e the best he's had in 25  Yorkshire winters. Any other recommendations??

When they split throw them away and use another pair, although one pair usually lasts me most of the winter.

If it's really cold, wear a cheap pair of gloves underneath. You rarely need both, though.
I used to buy the rubber ones in L and XL, with the XL for use with another pair. I found it hard to get hold of the XL, recently, though.
Best thing is, Hammy, you've lost nowt if you don't like them.

well thats no good for me then as I struggle to fit my boob warmers in an XL glove as it is.

The best ones by far are Joka's they look cumbersom but once you get used to them
they are brill

I use woollen fingerless gloves :-)
Yes they get wet but  once body warms them up
They keep me warm . I've tried all sorts or expensive
Seal skins etc but always end up wearing woollen gloves.

The main thing I require from gloves in winter is that they are 100% waterproof.
If my hands get wet then they will soon feel the cold.
Once I get working I find my hands stay warm as long as they stay dry.
I have used thicker bulky gloves in the past and they actually made my fingers colder.

sealskin cycling gloves are not waterpoof,FACT

i wear them on a bike and do a lot of miles and trust me,waste of money,

Which sealskinz did you buy?  We use the extreme cold weather gloves.  They only last a season, but are warm as toast.

i use 3mm and 5mm neoprene diving gloves,do a term and not that expensive

i  have used these for years but cold to start with but great   8)
