Ask Woodbridge for the Kohler part number Darren.  Then email me with the part number or post it on here.  I will cross reference it and promise to get the filter at a fraction of the price.

Remember, most filters are made the same just have a different name and or colour.  I know original filters can be cross referenced with Fram. Wix, Fleetguard, Baldwin and many more.

I can see what your saying Robert but what would you rather pay £27.25 or £6 for a oil filter knowing both will do the same thing and knowing that every 100 hrs of work you need to change that filter.

Darren, after a lot of web searching a phone calls i think i have got somewhere regarding part numbers for the Oil Filter.  Ignore the earlier link i sent you for K&N filters.  Thats the old cross reference and wont match yours.

Bryco 01327 - 876166 (www.bryco.co.uk)
Genuine Kohler CH20 Oil Filter (Part number 1205001) £9.35 + VAT & carriage

In-Line Filters 01579 - 321351 (www.inlinefilters.co.uk)
Non Genuine (part number FBW-B1410) £9.10 + VAT & carriage
Non Genuine (Part number FFR-PH5660) £2.72 + VAT & carriage

After a long discussion with the guy at in-line filters he told me that both of those filters will fit the Kohler Command CH20 engine.

Also, the UK's largest car parts supplier have oil filters in stock.  Look at the 2 links below.  The first (BOSCH) is the longer version, the second (HENGST) is the shorter version

http://www.eurocarparts.com/search/501560010/p/home

http://www.eurocarparts.com/search/501745150/p/home

The good thing about Euro Car Parts is that they have over 120 stores nationwide so you could go to one of their stores or opt for online with FREE delivery.

Also the FRAM part number is PH8172

Hope this helps.

I cant see why not.  I spoke to a guy at a Kohler dealer.  He gave me the fram cross reference number then i contacted Euro Car parts and they cross referenced the Fram part number to the Bosch part number.

Most filters that have a different name are in fact made at the same factory and or to exact same specs.  Main difference with Genuine filters is the fact your paying for the name and fact it has the name on it.  Ive replaced oil and air filters on engines many times and never had a problem.  Look at it this way....you take your van in for a service at a local garage.......they replace the air, oil & fuel filters......the van runs as good as it would if you had paid 30% more for genuine filters.

Just take your old one into any car parts supplier and they will sort you out. I pay £3 for mine. No problems in 6 years.
Same with spark plugs and inline fuel filters.

Air filters though are a different matter, only from Woodbridge
