Oliver Collins made mention of his storm in my last topic re 'STORM TO MUCH MACHINE?;

thought this question related but different topic.

I wondered Oliver or anyone what are typical dry to the touch times for hw extraction
is and how long before dry all the way through to backing?

Regarding rugs is it any longer drying times? Have a topic regarding rugs as well.

Is it worth hanging round with the multi directional fans for quick drying as well? (providing enough money in job)

Difficult one to answer as there are so many variables, weather, how much solution put down, type of carpet, level of soiling, can you leave windows open to help drying, central heating.......... to name but some.

I started off with an Airlex Pro 130psi, moved up to a Scorpion and got a Storm in March this year.  One thing I would say is that drying times are a quite a bit dryer with the Storm as it removes so much more water, as a rough rule of thumb synthetic carpets are dry  in around 1 - 2 hours and wool in around 2 - 4 hours compared to when i first started.

Dry times depend on type of carpet fibre type,normal dry times are two to three hours

Wand technique can aid drying as we'll as turbo dryers you can leave carpets touch dry.

Dry strokes make such a difference,carpet cleaner friend of mine didn't even know what a dry stroke was before I told him
