im with sky their divertion is £2.50pm plus the rate of transfering call to landline has anyone found a company which does it cheap diverted to mobiles ? or all the same really

What number you using if landline just get a answer machine and voicemail for mobile even with call divert you may not be able to answer

Our Vodafone rep recently offered us landline numbers with our mobile package.  The landline is 'diverted' to the mobile at no cost to you as part of the monthly fee.  Not sure if that helps but worth a look on their website?

Exactly Andy some people don't like leaving messages and you won't be able to answer all calls all the time so save ya money

When I get a diverted call I ask if I can ring them back in 2 minutes.
Tell them your just coming off the motorway or something then ring
them back using your free mobile minutes.
Otherwise you'll be charged by the minute for the diverted call.
Got to have call divert though it's a no brainer.
Bet half the jobs I get are through this.

I can never understand why some pay loads for marketing & advertising their number and then let their calls go to answer machine, surley thats business suicide, esp in this economic climate.

carpet cleaning is one of those businesses that people will ring round until they get an answer, its a just a fact, people are impatient and want an answer quickly.

I have all my calls diverted to mobile and try to answer all of them straight away, although I understand its not possible 100% of the time.

Even when I've rung someone straight back they have often already booked with someone else.

Its worth stopping what your doing and answering the phone as thats your work for the coming week !

Sorry Ash, I'm not sure if you have to have a new number or not.  It was something he mentioned but I'm fortunate to have office staff who answer the phones so I didn't need it so didn't pursue the details.

I'd echo what others have said, ie just pay for the divert rather than say you will ring back.  I bet when you call back some are engaged (probably calling the next cleaner) or don't answer, or goes to voicemail and even if you do get them they may have already organised another cleaner in the time you've taken to call them back.  Try to deal with the enquiry immediately even if you are paying for the call, I believe you'll convert far more and cover the extra cost of the call.

Changed to Talk talk from BT with my local number approx £3 p/m for the divert add on. Then buy a bundle of 500 landline to mobile minutes for around £5 p/m.

So costing me under a tenner a month for calls to be permanently  diverted to my mobile. Was paying between £60 to a £100 with BT.

I use a company called resource their very good , you can contact them on
08452332222,  call divert cost £2.12' 08000 no £4, a MTh, plus call cost , this MTh bill is £50.00 including line rental, and calls , my Edinburgh city centre line is £ 150 ,  with bt ,less calls ,ihad more calls on my 0800 nos , ps if any move to them let me know as I think I get something for referrals , ps never had any problems with them
