How long is a piece of string?
Lisa, you have to try and get your head round this.
I presume you've looked at it. If you were to clean it yourself how long would it take you? Is it carpeted? Is it a hard floor? What frequency of cleaning have they specified?
All this is very basic stuff - nothing complicated there at all.

Lisa,
My advice is this, have a go yourself and learn by your mistakes then you might get abit more help on here as it would look as if your at least trying.
Cms offered his help yesterday and you didn't even answer him, so if you don't mind me asking are these quoting questions actually for real or are you preparing yourself for when you do get quotes??

Lisa,
It is really a very simple process dependent on how desperate you are for the job. As others have said have a look decide how long it will take to do comfortably x that figure by your the hourly rate you expect to earn then x by the number of days required per week x by 4 and you have a monthly figure from which to base your quote. Remember we do not get every job we quote for. Submit it and move on to the next quote worry about it if you get it but at least you have been invited to quote. No quotes = no work= no cashflow going in to cheap makes the job less pleasurable it is a fine line go forth and prosper.

Well said Mark
Just a point though. To get the monthly figure............... X the weekly figure by 52 then divide by 12.
Doing it your way you lose 4 weeks money every year!

Yes I know I do it your way however I thought maybe the other way would simplify the quote for this person who seems to be having difficulty. I am always pleased to get the opportunity to quote I have long since stopped worrying about the ifs and buts. I just move on to the next hopefully. I have known Companys pick the highest lowest and or the inbetween quote there is no reasonable logic behind it sometimes. I alway believe you have to make great attempts to comunicate directly with the persons responsible if you can endear yourself to them and obviously provide a top service you will not go far wrong fair price for a fair job does that sound reasonable CMS

Yes it does.
The most important thing of all is to be in communication with the decision maker.
I think its fair to say that some people collect quotes like stamps because it makes them feel important. When it comes to actually making a decision they have to seek approval from the REAL decision maker.
I've learned not to bother with these people..............in fact I ask the question at the beginning "Are you the decision maker"?
