hmmm well old man let me give you a brief view.
Accounts - payroll, book keeping VAT returns and general money managment. we turn over 25k a month which requires alot of chasing.
equipment maintenance, vans, filters, poles, are always needing something.
Admin to existing customer base - every day it is constant and makes up most of my day.
planning the days and weeks schedule.
marketing we have delivered over 250,000 leafltets this year. that takes some planning and management.
equipment and product research, right now we are adding hot systems and im spending alot of time looking into the best equipment at the best price and when thats done it will be something else.
I like to be in the office to support my staff should they call and need something. Last week a system battery died. he called me and I went out and fitted the new battery within 30 min and the days turnover stayed the same. I also like to be on hand for the customers at the drop of the hat.
Believe me mate there is never a moment where im twiddling my thumbs.
Blimey! 25k a month? I love a good old fashioned success story - good on yer pal
How did it all start? Did you build it up from scratch? How long has it taken to get you this far? Do you still go out cleaning?
I'm well nosey, sorry
It's tit bits like his that push me to go out canvassing again
Oh i went and broke my rule of not talking about money on the forum didnt i. can of worms springs to mind haha

it started when I was made redundant 8 years ago. yes I started from scratch for £200 and was trad for 2 years. No I havnt done any labour at all for the last 12 months and almost none the 12 months before that.
I wont be answering nitty gritty questions about money should anyone be thinking about asking. There is really only one bit of advice that is needed to reach that level and beyond. "dont just be a window cleaner, run a window cleaning business" adopt that mindset and see how quickly things move forward.
