Anyone used Dynamall on upholstery
« on: November 08, 2012, 05:23:40 pm »
Hi guys has anyone used Dynamall on upholstery yet ?

Using the spray bottle method (spray & wipe ) as shown on the Dynamall website.

The reason for asking i am doing a 3 pcs next week that is only lightly dirty on the arms & the customer only wants the arms done and it seems a waste of time getting the HWE out the van.

I was only testing out on SH IT upholstery its good

Don’t think I would use it with HWE on carpets, need to do the sums (it’s a good spotter)

Yes I’ve made a pretty penny with it, rotary and buff/mf pads. More important I got the WOW from (commercial client)

Thats good news that you got the WOW factor. :)

Just pick up big commercial work for a block management firm down my way.

Looking to use this when i pick up a rotary looking at new Nu-matic machine or a good second hand one.

Len, if you mean one of my long lost cousins... Don't forget SM invented rotary shampooing about 70 years ago ;) ;)  The encap stuff SM do has been around for donkeys years and it is as good as any of these wonder-products.  Costs about 0.3p per sqm to apply as well!

It's quite funny how the wheel  keeps being re-invented with a new marketing campaign behind it... and a higher price tag every time! There is nothing new in "encap" and hasn't been for decades!

It makes me smile how a new chemical comes along  and some swear its AMAZING!! The best thing ever ..... how the first job they used it on it was fantastic and the manager saw it and  asked  them to clean the whole building they were so amazed

Today its dynamall last week it  something else.

Give it 2 months and people will get over the hype and it will be forgotten about realising they are paying £30 for something that has a suggested  dilution  rate of 5-1 or  10-1 When They are paying £60 to do a big job they will have a rethink about what they use, even if the jobs a big payer they still won't get past the high chemical cost when before they did just as good a job using something that cost a quarter of the price.

I've just ordered some to see what the hype is all about, I will be surprised if it cleans any better that what I use now.

I used Dynamall on a suite last week it had dye transfer and oily head stains I ended up resorting to other products to get the results I wanted I have yet to try it out on commercial yet I do like the smell of it though and tbh it is made for carpeting.

In the ad it says its the most advanced encap in the world. For those who have the bumph on it does it say why at all?
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

Richard

Always try sliding price of machine into contract/jobs and of course cleaning agent, haven’t seen many second hands one about, am waiting for the orbot to show it head on SH market

Shaun

What products did you revert too!!!!! Please don’t say PB my all rounder favourite

Wynne

Come on you’ve got to admit something different

We only use SPM and Shockwave these days and Powerburst in reserve.

I have used dynamall on carpets and upholstery and for me its fine on low profile carpets although i dont clean many so i cant really say if its any better or worse than other chems. ive used it to clean my own wool twist carpets and it didnt really clean as well as hwe. Ive used it on upholstery and think their are better products to get the result you are looking for. Its got a great smell mind.

Correct, I think it is perfectly adequate for the job at hand (did my maths wrong earlier it's probably about 0.6p per m² ;)).  GSL has been re-formulated unfortunately, now smells of moth balls instead of citrus but must be saving the life of at least three haddock per year.  Still a good product though, especially added in to the other stuff for a bit of kick.

I'm not really a LM enthusiast but do use it time to time.

Jim. Can you not add a touch of Citrus Oil to the mix to put the "smell" back in?
