I deleted it because Stephen did finally reply to my questions.
He put the link up to his vid which I hadn't seen before.

I have to say Facelift have addressed the clamp problems that Gardiners have. Finally I have the answers I wanted.
The Ultra is a direct competitor to the SLX and not the Xtreme. Still, I have to say it looks a good pole.
